What qualifications does one need to become a public procurement professional and are they offered in the country?
Public Procurement qualifications are not yet offered in Swaziland. However, the ideal candidate for a procurement officer is one who studied or is studying towards a procurement qualification, supply chain management and etc. This may differ depending on the nature of the job.

Currently, SPPRA offers technical advice to all those interested in public procurement as mandated by the Act, 2011.

How does a procurement audit differ from other audits?
A procurement audit is a function specifically responsible for the review and examination of the purchases or acquisitions made by an entity to ascertain accuracy and effectiveness of the procurement cycle and further ensure compliance with established policies, which is different from Financial Statements audit and internal audits. Consequently therefore procurement audits are divided into two, compliance and performance audits.
